In line with public health advice, visitor and service restrictions are currently in place at LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice.
Is there a child in your life with a full head of hair?
We know it is a big change and sacrifice when cutting your long hair, so why not set up a fundraiser alongside it! That way, you are actually helping not one but TWO charities; creating a wig for a child in need while also raising funds for children with life-limiting conditions in LauraLynn! How amazing is that?
You can donate your hair to either The Rapunzel Foundation or The Little Princess Trust, who in turn provide free, real hair, wigs to both children and adults who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions like alopecia.
Check out the video below of three wonderful young girls getting their hair cut on Ireland AM!
You can cut your long hair and send it to:
The Rapunzel Foundation: 53 South Street, New Ross, County Wexford.
Phone: 051 421287
The hair needs to be 14 inches or longer, natural hair, no dye, clean and dry, posted in a sealed bag with all your contact details.
The Little Princess Trust: Broadway House, 32-35 Broad Street, Hereford, HR4 9AR, UK. Phone: 0044 1 432 352359
Based in the UK but every year they provide beautiful hand made wigs for children across Ireland and the UK. They accept 7 inches but are in real need for 12 inches or longer at the moment. They will accept dyed hair, but the dye must be permanent. Please visit their website for more information.
Please do not send your hair donation to LauraLynn.
