Reporting to: Assistant Director of Nursing

Hours of Work: Part Time, 4 hours per week

Contract Type: 1 Year Fixed Term

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess the following:

- B.Sc. Clinical Speech and Language Studies from the University of Dublin, or

- M.Sc. in Speech and Language Therapy (Professional Qualification) from the University of Limerick, or

- B.Sc. Speech and Language Therapy from the National University of Ireland, Galway or

- B.Sc. Speech and Language Therapy from University College Cork, or an equivalent qualification approved for registration with CORU

  • Have experience in the management of dysphagia
  • Experience in the management and treatment of individuals with severe/profound disabilities
  • Demonstrate sufficient clinical knowledge and knowledge of evidence based practice to carry out duties and responsibilities of the role
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan and deliver care in an effective and resourceful manner and the ability to manage self in a busy working environment
