FAQS - 100K in November Corporate

Could your team walk/jog/run 100 Kilometres each in November and help raise funds for children with life-limiting conditions and their families? It’s a tough challenge, but it’ll help LauraLynn provide vital care while keeping you healthy too!

By joining the LauraLynn '100K in November' Challenge, you’ll be making an incredible difference to the lives of the children and families in our care.

Any questions? Take a look at the FAQs below, or email Niamh & Claire on corporate@lauralynn.ie

The challenge is for each team member to complete a distance of 100 kilometres throughout the month of November while fundraising for LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.

Not at all! The goal is to do the 100 kilometres over the month of November. It is up to you how you complete it. Most people will be doing three or four km a day. You can do what best suits your lifestyle.

You can run, jog or walk the 100 km. This is your decision. If you’re worried about not being able to run it all why don’t you start walking and build your way up to running? This is a personal challenge and all you can do is your best.

That’s easy! You can use the personal tracker in the leaflet which comes in your pack, just write down how many kilometres you do at the end of each day. Don’t forget to add it to your iDonate Fundraising Page and let the rest of your team know how you’re doing!  If you use Strava, you can sync this directly to your iDonate Fundraising Page.

We recommend using Strava as it syncs with iDonate. Just register with Strava (www.strava.com/register) and you can log your kilometres. You can track your distance using your phone or your smart watch if you have one!

As part of this challenge, you will be asked to set up your own iDonate Fundraising Page for LauraLynn. You can post your distances weekly or after every run/walk depending on preference. These pages are linked to LauraLynn and we’ll be able to see your progress.

Once you’ve registered on Strava, login to your iDonate fundraising account via www.idonate.ie/userlogin.htm. Select “edit page” and choose the “Fitness Apps” tab where you will select “Connect with Strava” from the options available. If you have any problems drop an email to helpdesk@idonate.ie

For users who prefer not to use fitness apps, you can manually edit the total KMs completed on your iDonate page.  If you have any problems drop an email to helpdesk@idonate.ie

Of course. Setting a goal of 100 km and then exceeding that goal would be fantastic!

You should receive your fundraising pack in the post by the start of the challenge. We are sending the packs out in large batches towards the end of October.

An exclusive 100K in November LauraLynn T-Shirt and a leaflet which will include a tracker for you to keep track of your kilometres.

Unfortunately, LauraLynn can’t issue refunds but people can request a refund themselves from iDonate by contacting info@idonate.ie and including details of the donation.
