Could you run 100K in November to raise funds for children with life-limiting conditions and their families?

It’s a tough challenge, but it’ll help LauraLynn provide vital care, while keeping you healthy too!

By joining the LauraLynn “100K in November” Challenge, you’ll be making an incredible difference to the lives of the children in our care. 

We have created a Facebook Group of people like you who are doing this challenge. Join it to see how they’re getting on!

FAQs - 100K in November

You can walk or run 100 kilometres in November. You can also do both and pace your runs with intervals of walking for recovery. The speed doesn’t matter, only the distance!

The best way is to use your smart phone! You can download Map My Run or a similar app. Otherwise if you have a Fitbit, Apple Watch or activity tracker, then you can use that instead.

As part of this challenge, you will be asked to set up a 100K in November Facebook Fundraising Page for LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice where you can post your distances weekly or after every run depending on preference. These pages are linked to LauraLynn and we’ll be able to see your progress.

Visit  https://www.facebook.com/fund/LauraLynnChildrensHospice/ and wait for the pop-up to set up a page. Be sure to add 100K in November in your page title so we can easily find you and make double sure the end date is set to 1st December 2019.

Of course. Setting a goal of 100K and then exceeding that goal would be fantastic! Many people will walk more than 100K!

You will receive your sponsorship pack by post before the start of the challenge on November 1st. You can check that your name and address are on the list for packs at any time by emailing fundraising@lauralynn.ie

If you have set up a Facebook fundraiser then the raised funds will be sent directly to LauraLynn. If you have raised money via a sponsorship card then you can:

 

  1. Phone in your donation by calling 01 2893151 and use your credit or debit card. 
  2. Post in or drop in a bank draft, cheque or postal order to Fundraising Dept, LauraLynn, Children's Hospice, Leopardstown Road, Foxrock, Dublin 18
  3. Donate raised funds online here: www.lauralynn.ie/donate 
  4. Lodge the funds directly to our bank account using the details provided below:

Unfortunately we can’t issue refunds through Facebook but people can request a refund themselves from Facebook by following the below steps:
