Fundraising Terms and Conditions

We appreciate all the support we receive from organisations and the greater community. To help you organise your event LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice have put together a list of points that should be adhered to, to protect all participating parties.

  1. The organiser of any fundraising event or activity needs to abide by all applicable legislation and apply for any permits or permission that may be required, including all raffles, bingo, vending tickets, other games of chance or any public appeal. If you require guidance in this area, please call us or your local Garda station. Copies of any permits should be sent to the LauraLynn Fundraising Office.
  2. Organisers are advised to ensure they have the relevant insurance and indemnity considered necessary in association with any event involving the general community or the public. Our insurance policy does not cover events conducted by external fundraisers.
  3. Organisers wishing to use our name and logo must gain approval first. A proof of the suggested use of the logo, registered charity number (CHY21947) and contact details must be submitted to the office.
  4. All publicity in reference to the fundraising event or activity should clearly state who the event/activity is being organised by (name of organiser/company). All promotional material must be worded in such a way as to make it clear that LauraLynn is either the only beneficiary, or is one of a number of charities benefiting from the event.
  5. The organisers will not represent themselves as having any agency relationship for LauraLynn.
  6. Organisers must not incur expenses in the name of LauraLynn.
  7. Organisers must inform the LauraLynn Fundraising Office to seek event approval in advance of the event.

LauraLynn does not consent to the use of their name, logo or other intellectual property for the purposes of fundraising, or for any other purpose, in the absence of a completed fundraiser application form (duly signed and accepted by LauraLynn), all required permits and permissions and/or appropriate insurance.

If a fundraising event / activity takes place in the absence of any of this required documentation, to the extent permitted by law, the organiser(s) of the event / activity hereby indemnifies LauraLynn against all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses (including but not limited to any direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal costs on a full indemnity basis arising out of or in connection with;

  • (i) the breach of any term set out in this application form (including, but not limited to, the failure to obtain the permit/permission and/or the insurance policy/indemnity and/or provide the relevant documents to LauraLynn in advance of the commencement of the fundraising event) and/or
  • (ii) any claim made against LauraLynn arising out of or in connection with the fundraising event/activity (including, but not limited to, claims relating to third party death, personal injury or damage to property arising out of or in connection with the fundraising event/activity; and/or
  • (iii) any claim made against LauraLynn by an employee, contractor, agent or other person employed or engaged by or on behalf of the organiser. By carrying out the fundraising activity / event, the organiser agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions set out in this application form, including the provision of this indemnity.

Texting a keyword to 50300 will donate €4 to LauraLynn.
