Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we close out an extraordinary year, our busiest to date, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you. Your generosity and commitment have made 2025 a year of progress, compassion, and hope for the children and families we serve.

From national campaigns and award-winning care to community events and incredible fundraising, every milestone reflects the power of working together.

One of the highlights this year, was celebrating a Century of Light as we marked 100 years since the opening of the Children’s Sunshine Home. This special milestone allowed us time and space to reflect on our incredible legacy of caring for children.

Another stand out moment was once again a hugely successful Children’s Hospice Week In May and the 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge which is the highlight of the week and is our biggest event of the year. Now in its second year the event has grown and was even bigger and better than last year. I would like to thank all our supporters, donors and partners who make this event the success it is and we look forward to next years event.

We were delighted to meet and receive support from some very special people this year, including Taoiseach Micheál Martin, our wonderful LauraLynn Ambassadors and  Celebrity Supporters - Ray D’Arcy, Garry Ringrose, Jenny McCarthy, Fiona Coghlan, Nicola Coughlan, Padraig O’Hora - as well as Miriam O’Callaghan, Lyra, Amy and Mark Huberman, Elaine Crowley, Jordi Murphy, Paul Merriman, Ryan Andrews and many more. We also added to our Ambassador Programme this year with Tommy O’Brien coming on board, a big welcome to Tommy. A huge thank you to all our Ambassadors, celebrity supporters and all our wonderful volunteers for their commitment to helping us raise awareness, funds and create special moments for the children and families in our care.

We continued to receive full statutory funding for our Disability Services –Willow View and Hazel House – and partial state funding for our Children’s Hospice, which relies predominantly on donations and fundraised income.

We’ve also seen incredible developments in our Disability Services—new spaces that foster independence, holidays that create cherished memories, and initiatives that strengthen family support.

These achievements remind us of what’s possible when kindness leads the way. As we look ahead to 2026, we do so with optimism and determination to continue making a difference.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our incredible board, staff, volunteers, donors, and Ambassadors. Your commitment and dedication to LauraLynn inspire us every day. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful supporters who share our vision that children and their families have the care and support they need at all stages of their journey.

Wishing you a joyous festive season and a happy, healthy New Year.

Thank you for standing with us every step of the way.

Warm regards,

Sandra O'Malley
