On Thursday, 23rd November, the magic of Halloween came alive at LauraLynn as we held our much-loved Annual Halloween Parade. After a dreary and rainy morning, the clouds parted just in time for the 2 PM festivities, and the sun even made a special appearance to shine down on the wonderful costumes and smiling faces.
The parade was a spectacular display of creativity, featuring incredible and imaginative costumes designed and assembled by the talented students from TUD, with the generous support of Google and Project Management Group Ltd. Some participants travelled in style on floats kindly provided by Buggyman.
Adding to the magic was an amazing line-up of special guests who brought a touch of movie magic and real-life heroism to the day. We were thrilled to be joined by members of An Garda Síochána, with one Garda joining the parade on the back of a majestic horse, alongside the iconic 501st Legion Ireland Star Wars Garrison, and the heroic team from Reel Icons: Batman & Friends. Joining them were a giant Labubu and Pikachu, who bravely battled the windy conditions to bring smiles to everyone's faces. A big thank you also to Airheads Ireland for joining in the fun.
The festive atmosphere was made possible by a whole community of supporters. A huge thank you goes to Premier Facepainting Ireland for getting everyone parade-ready, CocoBrew Coffee for serving delicious hot drinks to keep everyone warm, and to our friends at Cadbury (Mondelez) and Microsoft for helping to decorate our windows and joining in the celebrations.
More than just a parade, the event is a cornerstone of our commitment to creating moments of joy and precious memories for the children and families we support. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special.
A special thank you to the talented photographer, Izu Nwagwu, for capturing the magic of the day. You can see more of his work on his Instagram.
