LauraLynn is pleased to share the positive findings of an unannounced inspection carried out by the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) across its disability services, Willow View and Hazel House.
The inspection, which took place in May, found that residents and children are receiving a very high standard of care delivered in a safe, person-centred and compassionate manner.
Inspectors highlighted the dedication and professionalism of the staff team, strong governance and leadership structures, and high levels of compliance with regulatory and training requirements. The report also reflected overwhelmingly positive feedback from families, who described staff as kind, caring, approachable and professional, expressing great confidence in the quality of care provided.
The service was found to be compliant across the regulations reviewed during the inspection. One area identified for enhancement relates to the review of nighttime observations and supervision to support privacy rights, and work to address this is already underway.
Anne-Marie Carroll, Director of Nursing & Family Support Services at LauraLynn, welcomed the publication of the report, noting that the positive findings reflect the everyday commitment and exceptional care provided by staff to children, adults and their families across the service.
