LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, is proud to announce that its CEO, Kerry McLaverty, has been appointed to the esteemed position of Vice Chair of The Wheel’s Board of Directors. The Wheel is Ireland’s national association for charities, community groups, and social enterprises, providing essential leadership, advocacy, and support to the sector.

This significant appointment builds on Kerry’s dedicated service since joining The Wheel’s board in 2022. As a long-standing member of the LauraLynn team, initially joining in the Physiotherapy Department in 2012 and progressing to the role of CEO in 2020, Kerry has a deep, first-hand understanding of the operational and strategic challenges facing frontline service providers. Her new role as Vice Chair will further amplify the needs of organisations like LauraLynn on the national agenda, particularly in a dynamic and challenging environment.

This appointment also deepens LauraLynn’s commitment to ensuring a vibrant and thriving voluntary sector in Ireland. LauraLynn has long benefited from The Wheel’s support and is delighted to contribute further to its mission.
