LauraLynn, Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice, is proud to announce its first-ever regional fundraising event, taking place this September at the iconic Thomond Park Stadium.

On Saturday, 28th September 2025, participants will have the opportunity to abseil 42.5 metres from the West Stand of Thomond Park, experiencing the stadium from a unique angle and enjoying exclusive behind-the-scenes access, including a walk through the famous player’s tunnel.

“This is our first regional fundraising event and we’re so excited to hold it in Limerick. It gives people the chance to do something amazing for a great cause,” said LauraLynn Regional Fundraising Executive Elaine Buckley.

The event was officially launched in Limerick by Munster Rugby players Tony Butler, Alex Kendellen, and John Ryan, alongside LauraLynn Community Team members Lisa Lingwood and Emma Foley.

LauraLynn Regional Community Support

This event marks an exciting milestone for LauraLynn, reflecting the growth of our community-based care teams now serving families across the Munster region from hubs in Mallow and Ballinasloe. Funds raised will help us continue to provide free, specialist palliative care to children with life-limiting conditions in their homes and communities across Ireland and in our hospice in Dublin.

The abseil is open to individuals, families, companies, and clubs, with professional guidance provided to ensure a safe and memorable experience. For more information, please see the abseil registration page. Secure your spot today and be part of something truly special. Registration closes on Thursday, 25th September.
