LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice, is delighted to share that it has been shortlisted in the Excellence in Healthcare Management category at the Irish Healthcare Awards 2026, for its work transforming children's hospice care through strategic leadership, community expansion and service innovation.
The nomination reflects a period of real growth for LauraLynn between January 2025 and June 2026. As the only children's hospice in the Republic of Ireland, the organisation has worked hard to keep pace with rising demand, strengthening how it's run while extending care to more families across the country.
2025 was LauraLynn's busiest year yet. 771 families engaged with services, the highest number in the organisation's history, and 409 children received direct care, with over 3,900 community visits carried out nationwide. Much of this has been made possible through the growth of community hospice hubs in Dublin, Ballinasloe and Mallow, bringing services to families in all 26 counties, along with new initiatives like the Time Together family sessions and early work on a Pop-Up Hospice model to reach families in rural areas.
The winners will be announced at the Irish Healthcare Awards ceremony at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, 5th November.
