There was great excitement on Saturday, 18th May as families gathered at LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice for this year’s Family Fun Day. This is the first time Family Fun Day marked the official start of Children’s Hospice Week 2025 taking place in May instead of the usual August.

An annual tradition, this event returned with a vibrant festival atmosphere, transforming the hospice grounds into a lively celebration space filled with music, colour, and joy. The sunshine provided the perfect setting for families to come together, relax, and enjoy a day full of fun.
Families were treated to a wide range of activities including the Tinpot Recording Studio, the silent disco tent, face painting, arts and crafts, and the sensory play area.

Live performances from talented musicians and entertainers kept the energy high, and there were plenty of delicious treats on offer, including tacos, chicken tenders, ice cream, and candy floss.
Family Fun Day remains a highlight of the LauraLynn calendar, offering families a chance to create joyful memories in a supportive and inclusive environment.
LauraLynn extends sincere thanks to the volunteers, staff, vendors, and everyone else who made this special day possible for the children and families in its care.
