Microsoft Ireland's annual charity cycle raised €265,000 for LauraLynn this year, bringing the total raised since the initiative began in 2014 to more than €2 million.

What started in 2014 with 10 cyclists and four support crew cycling from Mizen to Malin has grown into one of LauraLynn's longest-standing corporate partnerships. The funds raised help support children with life-limiting conditions and their families from across Ireland.

This year, more than 80 Microsoft Ireland colleagues took on a 370km route over three days, cycling from Redcastle in Donegal to Newcastle in County Down. It followed last year's cycle, when the team completed the final leg of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, covering 360km through the hills of Donegal. Tough at times but great fun, the journey took in amazing scenery, plenty of laughs and a very proud finish line.

On 16th October, Microsoft Vice Chair and President Brad Smith joined LauraLynn CEO Kerry McLaverty for the presentation of the cheque, recognising the support of the Microsoft Ireland team.

Sharing his thanks after the event, Brad said: "I always leave energized by the way you show up for our visit, for our company, and for your home country. Nothing shows it more than your support for LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice, and our next-door neighbor in Leopardstown."

In addition to taking part in the cycle, Microsoft teams also fundraised at concerts and events around Dublin throughout the summer.

LauraLynn is deeply grateful to everyone at Microsoft Ireland who rode, crewed, donated and cheered, and to all those whose support is helping provide specialist care for children and families across Ireland.
