Chief Executive Officer 

Kerry McLaverty is a highly experienced CEO with over 20 years experience working in the healthcare, not-for-profit and voluntary sectors. Her healthcare management and leadership skills are underpinned by an extensive clinical background in Physiotherapy and Paediatrics, along with strong clinical research and teaching experience as a former annual lecturer at RCSI and within the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP).

Academically, Kerry received a JFK scholarship to attend Mercyhurst University, Pennsylvania in 1998. She graduated in 2002 with a BSc. in Sports Medicine and then completed an accelerated MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster in 2005. Moving into management, Kerry completed her MBA at UCD Smurfit in 2015, and has continued her professional development with a Diploma in Corporate Governance and certificates in Charity Law & Trusteeship, and Transformative Leadership.

Kerry is passionate about children’s palliative care and disabilities. She a long-standing member of the LauraLynn team, having initially been recruited from Stewarts Hospital to the Physiotherapy Department in 2012. Kerry assumed the position of Clinical Services Manager in 2014 and later in 2016 she commenced the role of Head of Operations and took on the duties of Company Secretary from 2017-2018 before being appointed as CEO in May 2020.
