FAQs

The challenge is to complete the distance of 100 kilometres throughout the month of May while fundraising for LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.

Not at all! The goal is to do the 100km over the month of May.  It is up to you how you complete it. Most people will be doing 3km or 4km a day. You can do what best suits your lifestyle.

You can run, jog or walk the 100 kilometres. This is your decision. If you’re worried about not being able to run it all why don’t you start walking and build your way up to running. This is a personal challenge and all you can do is your best.

That’s easy! You can use the personal tracker in the leaflet which comes in your pack, just write down how many km's you do at the end of each day. Don’t forget to post in the Facebook Group too and let us know how you’re doing!

There are loads of apps available in the App and Google Play Store. We recommend using Strava or MapMyFitness. You can also use your smart watch if you have one. LauraLynn will provide a tracker in your fundraising pack too.

As part of this challenge, you can join our '100K in May' Facebook Group for LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice where you can post your distances weekly or after every run depending on preference. This group is linked to LauraLynn and we’ll be able to see your progress.

Of course. Setting a goal of 100 kilometres and then exceeding that goal would be fantastic!

We suggest starting on May 1st and continuing throughout the month but if the timing doesn’t suit you then feel free to pick a time that does.

You can register for your pack here:  https://www.lauralynn.ie/100k-in-may

You should receive your fundraising pack in the post by the start of the challenge. We are sending the packs out in large batches from the middle of April.

An exclusive 100K in May LauraLynn T-Shirt and a leaflet which will include a tracker for you to keep track of your km's.
