During Children’s Hospice Week (20th – 26th May), everyone puts on a hero costume, and donates €2 to LauraLynn Children’s Hospice. The costume could be a superhero or a person who inspires you like a nurse, firefighter, your parent!

Friday, May 24th. Can’t make that date? Not a problem, just pick another day.

Yes! If you want the buzz of knowing thousands of other people are getting dressed up at the same time too, then go for Friday, May 24th. But if that date isn’t a winner then no worries, just get your costume out on a day that suits you.

No way! Lots of champion Hero costume wearers go solo. It’s all about wearing your costume with pride. You could even set up your own fundraising page and get sponsored... here’s the link: https://www.idonate.ie/event/heroday2024

Absolutely 100% no. You do not! In fact, we think it’s awesome if you don’t. You could decorate your own clothes with a stars, lightning strikes, make your mask or cape… the list is endless. Just google DIY costumes for easy ideas. Or try a local charity shop or borrow one from a friend.    

Of course! That would make you an awesome fundraiser and mean you’re making an even bigger difference to children in our hospice.

Absolutely - no matter your financial background, we can all take part in LauraLynn’s Hero Day! 

Yes – when you register here, you will receive your iDonate fundraising page link. Then all you have to do is share your link with everyone you know and ask for support!

If you set up an online fundraising page using iDonate – then you don’t have to do anything! The funds from iDonate are transferred automatically one month in arrears to LauraLynn. Once your funds are logged here, we will post you a thank you letter & certificate!

By taking part, you’re helping make the most of short and precious lives. When a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting condition, it’s a lot for families to cope with. In LauraLynn, we support families through this using therapies such as art, music, play. Parents can rest while children are cared for. Children can enjoy the sensory playgrounds, and sensory bath we have here in LauraLynn among many other activities. Your support creates precious memories for these families which last a lifetime.

Yes! You will receive a t-shirt (1 per registration for the teacher/leader of the group).
