We were delighted that LauraLynn’s Annual Report was shortlisted for the Good Governance Awards 2025.
Run by Carmichael, Ireland’s leading specialist training and support body for nonprofits, these awards seek to support and encourage the non-profit sector to use their annual reports and financial statements to showcase their adherence to the highest standards of governance.
The winners were announced at a ceremony on 19th November. While it wasn’t our year, we are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for the third consecutive year. The Good Governance Awards hold a special place in our history, as LauraLynn has had the privilege of winning the award twice previously.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Oxfam who won in our category.
Why Good Governance Matters
At LauraLynn, we believe that good governance is at the heart of a successful non-profit organisation. It is not just about compliance with the law; it has a direct and strong bearing on our effectiveness in achieving our mission to provide the best possible care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
This shortlisting remains a significant acknowledgement of our ongoing commitment to:
-
Transparency & Trust: Ensuring our supporters and stakeholders can clearly see how their funds are used to make a difference.
-
Accountability: Upholding the highest standards of integrity in everything we do.
-
Excellence: Continuously improving how we report on our impact and operations.
Reflecting on the recognition, LauraLynn CEO, Kerry McLaverty, said:
“We are thrilled to be shortlisted for a Good Governance Award once again. Good governance is something that we prioritise in LauraLynn and pride ourselves on as an organisation. It is an honour to be acknowledged for the transparency and quality of our reporting, which reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team to operate with the utmost integrity.”
