Growing a Community of Care

Strategic Plan 2019 – 2023

We are pleased to present 'Growing a Community of Care' the LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice Strategic Plan 2019 – 2023.

It has been informed by our families, staff and volunteers, plus the many healthcare professionals, service providers, funding partners and policymakers we consulted and lays out an ambitious road map for our development over the next five years.

The plan reflects our determination to ‘make every day better for those in our care’ through the provision of high-quality, clinical and social care, in an environment that promotes inclusion, realising potential and making the most of every moment.

LauraLynn will face funding and other challenges, that may affect our ability to achieve all we want to during the course of our new strategy. However, we stand ready to do all we can to support more children, adults and families than ever before, working in partnership with key stakeholders and with the ongoing support of our generous supporters and dedicated staff and volunteers.

Our Ambition

  1. Expand our children’s hospice and palliative care services nationwide in line with unmet need
  2. Extend our children’s disability respite service in the Greater Dublin Area to serve more children and families
  3. Enhance our adult disability service to ensure it’s an exemplar service and the best possible home for our residents
  4. Build the financial, human, educational and reputational resources necessary for us to achieve these ambitions

We conducted an extensive internal and external stakeholder engagement plan  – including site visits, meetings, teleconferences, surveys and workshops – in order to assess current and future system needs and opportunities for development.

We would like to thank everyone involved for their time, consideration and input.
